Typhoon Halong: Delivering Hope to Alaska
In the aftermath of Typhoon Halong, the Operation Airdrop team mobilized quickly to support isolated communities whose access to essential resources was severely disrupted.
Through strong coordination with partners in Anchorage and Bethel, Operation Airdrop delivered 35,000 pounds of critical supplies to the region. From Bethel, the supplies were distributed directly to 14 outlying villages, ensuring families received food, winter essentials, medical items, and household necessities when they were needed most.
The Typhoon Halong mission strengthened community resilience and helped stabilize daily life for residents in Alaska, who were already preparing for the cold winter season.
Operation Airdrop’s growing aviation network once again proved vital for reaching remote locations where roads and traditional supply routes were inaccessible.
