Hurricane Melissa: Delivering Hope to Jamaica
Operation Airdrop responded rapidly to Hurricane Melissa in November 2025, deploying volunteer pilots, critical supplies, and aviation logistics to reach communities cut off by damage.
Our missions were based out of Miami Executive Airport (TMB). Coordinating 22 international flights into Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ) required careful planning around weather, limited airport resources, and the need to obtain overflight permits through Cuban airspace, which required coordination with the Cuban authorities. These complexities demanded flexibility, experience, and strong partnerships to ensure supplies reached those who needed them most.
With your support, we delivered more than 20,000 pounds of life-saving materials, including food, medical supplies, generators, and construction tools. Additionally, together we provided over $44,000 in direct disaster relief to communities cut off from traditional trade and supply routes.
Operation Airdrop, with the support of Ground Force Humanitarian Aid (formerly Cajun Navy), helped repair the Mustard Seed school, a community learning center for children with disabilities and special needs.
Every mile flown represents your commitment to helping families recover
and rebuild.
